My strongest contribution is often at the interface between formulation science, process technology, scale-up and business requirements.
Drug product development is an integrated system. API properties influence excipient choice. Excipients influence manufacturability. Manufacturing choices affect scale-up, control strategy and supply. A formulation that performs in a laboratory can still become difficult when equipment, material variability, analytical methods, packaging or commercial economics change. This is why I place strong emphasis on early material understanding, manufacturability, predictive approaches, process knowledge and realistic technology transfer. The goal is not a perfect experiment. The goal is a robust product and process that survive change.
